Population: ~37,500 (2000 Census = 25,216)

Mean Household Income: $115,250 (3rd highest in Utah)

Median Age: 26 years

Average Household Size: 3.69 persons (according to 2000 Census)

Total Households: 11,000 (2006 estimate)

City Size: 30.3 square miles (10th largest by area in Utah)

Form of Government

2-1-010 Form of Government.
Draper City has previously adopted by ordinance a manager form of government and
appointed a person as manager pursuant to provisions of Section 10-3-924 of the Utah Code Annotated, as amended.

2-1-020 Governing Body.
The governing body of Draper City shall be a council composed of six (6) members, one of whom shall be the Mayor and five (5) of whom shall be Council Members, which council is hereinafter referred to as the “City Council.”

2-1-030 Powers and Duties.
The City Council shall exercise the legislative and executive powers of Draper City and
may perform such other functions as may be specifically provided or necessarily implied by law.
